Intimacy with Jesus

Throughout the Psalms, and other parts of the bible, we hear the people of God crying out, "show me your ways, teach me your ways," so they could know their God. His ways are not our ways. His thoughts are not our thoughts. His methods are not our methods. That is why we, like the prophets of old, should be crying out, especially in these days, "Lord, show me your ways; we want an intimate relationship with you!"

In light of what is going on in our nation at this time, we look at that and at the same time, read what God said through His prophets that He was sending a purifying wind. His judgments are to make wrong things right in our lives. He says, "once more I will shake the heavens and the earth..............." That is why He is saying to us, "come to me, learn of me........." Intimacy with Jesus.

Intimacy with Jesus. We have to be intimate to be a warrior church. Warfare is about agreement with Him. If we do not adore Him, we will accuse Him. If we do Christian work with a cold heart, we will be vulernable to the accusations (how can God do this, allow this to happen, who do those people at that church think they are, etc. etc.) That is accusing God.

Intimacy is our reward to stand the shaking that is coming. It protects us from standing against Him. There will be a clashing of the nations to bring forth the harvest. Trusting God is critical during this time. Kiss the Son (Ps. 2:12), move into deep intimacy with the Son, with the Godhead.

If we are not intimate with Him, we will accuse Him when He breaks the nations, all nations. We must move in close to Him.

The drama at the end is too intense to stand at a distance and remain loyal to Him. The divine inviation, the kiss of His word, is the fully opening of our hearts to the depths of His heart. If we don't enjoy Him, we will make war with Him.

In 1st Corn. 2:10, the Spirit describes Himself as searching God's heart to bring it to us. We need to connect with God's heart. There will be a great fallling away of people who are standing at a distance from the Lord. There is hidden rage against God in people that they are not aware of. It will be manifested when shaking occurs.

There will be no middle ground. Either we will love Him (the hot), or hate Him (the cold). The lukewarm will be removed one way or the other.

Judgment is to bring the hidden rage to the surface. Negative feelings begin to rise and people end up being angry at God, then hate.

The whole drama that is unfolding across this earth is about one thing. Who will we worship? There is a clashing going on and it is between the light and the darkness.

Who will you worship? When things turn upside down in your life, who will you cry out to? There are things inside of all of us that we don't know is there, but God knows. In His mercy, He will cry out, "enough is enough" and He will do something about it. Why? To save us from what is killing us, stealing from us and destroying us.

He is full of mercy. If we don't know Him, if we don't have an intimate relationship with Him, we won't know He is full of mercy.

Remember, intimacy is our reward to stand the shaking that is coming. How do we develop an intimate relationship with our Lord? We pray. Not some quick prayer on the way out the door, but we spend time with Him, listening to Him, speaking to Him, praying His word out loud back to Him, worshiping Him with our lifestyle. As we do that, He pours Himself into us, anointing us, equipping us, strengthening us, protecting us.

It is a relationship that will keep us from fear, because we have learned to trust the One who loves us.
