We often think that we are a friend of God, but are we really? We can call on him 24 hours a day 7 days a week, but when
he calls on us to pray in the middle of the night, do we just roll over and go back to sleep?
We often take our requests and burdens to the Lord, but maybe we need to sit as a true friend would and listen to God's
requests and burdens. His heart must be broken at the lost who are dying everyday and will be seperated from him for eternity.
How would you feel if you knew you could not be with your child ever again because your child chose to walk away from you?
God has feelings too. He made us in his image and his likeness and he is full of love. So how much harder does he have
it when he feels hate? Maybe we need to take time to listen to God and be a real friend instead of having a one sided relationship.
I believe Abraham as a friend of God, and God consulted with Abraham before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. I want to be a
friend like that to God. I want him to be able to trust me with his heart and know that I will not fail him.
