Have you ever heard the saying "if you get too close to the fire, you're gonna get burned"? Well, we know who we are
in the Lord. We have been bought with the blood of Jesus to redeem us from our sins. There are things in our lives that are
different than the ways of the Lord. We are truly aliens and strangers in a strange land.
If we stick our toes into sin and try what everyone else is trying or let our guard down, we could get burned. The Holy
Spirit is standing in between us and the flame and trying to get our attention to stop doing things that harm ourselves or
others, but the Holy Spirit will not force us to do the right thing. There comes a point that if we continue in our sins,
the Holy Spirit will step aside and let us get closer to the flame until we are eventually burned.
