As Christians, we must put on the whole armor of God. We cannot take the portions we like to wear and are comfortable
with and leave out the things that are uncomfortable. If we have holes in our armor, then we leave ourselves open to attacks
from the enemy. We must put on the helmet of Salvation. We must have our mind protected from the enemy. Our mind is the first
place of attack from the enemy because if he can take out our mind, then he's got us. He starts out by whispering lies and
discouragement to us to make us upset with ourselves and others. We must pray and read God's Word to put on the helmet of
our Salvation. We must cover our minds with the Word of God so that no fiery darts from the evil one can penetrate and cause
us damage. If we put on the helmet of Salvation with the Word of God, then we will have the knowledge of all of the other
armor and will know how to dress ourselves appropriately to fight without being hurt. God has given us everything we need,
but it is up to us to reach out and take it. The Bible says for us to put on the whole armor of God, not that God automatically
puts it on us. It is time to prepare for war. Let's all get in the Word and put our helmets on!
