Love From The Start

In Genesis we read of God telling Adam not to eat from the tree of Knowledge of good and evil. God tells Adam that if he does eat from it, he will die that day. He tells him that he will return to dust and so is talking about a physical death just as much as he is talking about a spiritual death. Adam ate from the forbidden tree and died at a ripe old age of 930. With God one day is a thousand years so Adam died the same day he ate from the fruit if you look at it by God's calendar.

The thing here that we overlook is that God said "in the day you eat from it" you shalt surely die. God knew the day was coming when Adam would choose to obey the serpent rather than God and eat from this tree.

God looked at Adam and told him that he would die. God in his heart was saying "You will die and I will die with you to set you free". But he didn't say anything about the fact that it would be his own death sentence because he would come to rescue the fallen Adam. He would come and be put into his shoes and feel the things that Adam felt until ultimately paying for the sin that Adam had committed with his own life, with his own blood, and with his own body.

It was love from the start. God was going to send Jesus to die for us from the beginning. He just didn't tell us the whole plan. He wouldn't discuss it and allow it to get messed up because it was the perfect plan of love for our redemption.
