Thrones In Jerusalem

Jeremiah 1:13-19 (NIV)
13 The word of the LORD came to me again: "What do you see?"
      "I see a boiling pot, tilting away from the north," I answered.

 14 The LORD said to me, "From the north disaster will be poured out on all who live in the land. 15 I am about to summon all the peoples of the northern kingdoms," declares the LORD.
       "Their kings will come and set up their thrones
       in the entrance of the gates of Jerusalem;
       they will come against all her surrounding walls
       and against all the towns of Judah.

 16 I will pronounce my judgments on my people
       because of their wickedness in forsaking me,
       in burning incense to other gods
       and in worshiping what their hands have made.

 17 "Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. 18 Today I have made you a fortified city, an iron pillar and a bronze wall to stand against the whole land—against the kings of Judah, its officials, its priests and the people of the land. 19 They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

I believe the Lord showed me the true meaning of the above scripture. We have always looked at the North as being a place on a map and we have certainly looked at the Northern Kingdom as a Kingdom on the map above Jerusalem. God has shown me that the North and Northern Kingdom represents the principalities and powers and spiritual wickedness in high places who try to sit up their thrones at the gates of Jerusalem.

God wants us to see that these Nations around the world have been and continue to be stirred up to attack Jerusalem and try to set up their own governments to have the authority to control Jerusalem by saying who can come and who can go. This would be the meaning of sitting their thrones up at the gates. Many nations want to set up their throne at the gates of Jerusalem. They want control of the Holy City.

But here is where it gets good starting in verse 17. God says to us, His people, to gird up our loins: arise, and say to them everything that He commands us. We are not to be dismayed by them, or God will dismay us before them. Today, God makes us a fortified city, an iron pillar, and bronze walls. They will fight against us, but they will not prevail against us, for God is with us to deliver us! Hallelujah!

Let's pray and start speaking to these mountains to be removed. Let's speak everything that God puts upon our heart to speak in prayer. We are a strong city, as strong as iron and together we are bronze walls protecting the city. When we work together in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we defeat the enemies attacks!
