In Luke 4:16-30 we read of where Jesus got up and spoke the truth in the synagogue and was driven out of the city because
of it. Sadly, we have the same religious spirits operating today as when this incident happened with Jesus. If people didn't
want to hear the truth back then, why should we think they would want to hear the truth today? If you stand on the truth and
walk in integrity then you will be persecuted for the sake of the Gospel. If we follow Christ and are His disciples then we
should not expect to be treated better than he was while he was here. So, if you get thrown out of a church consider it an
honor! Don't let it get you down, but keep moving forward in Christian love and doing what Christ commands you to do. Don't
let it even hinder your steps in being obedient to the Lord.
For more reading to see what Jesus did after he was thrown out of the synagogue and the city, keep reading after
verse 30 of Luke Chapter 4 and read how Jesus didn't even miss a beat. He just kept on going. He is so wonderful and our perfect
example!
