Down through the ages, men have ruled the Church and governments, some successfully, some not so successfully. But through it all, one thing has been constant. Throughout the world, no matter the culture or the religious persuasion, men have managed to exclude from leadership and real equality of ministry at least two thirds of the known Christian population...women. Even though Adam was knowledgeable of and responsible for the fall, women have been treated as less than equal, and certainly not able to exercise as coequal with men the mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, or pray for or teach or lead men in any  way.

Satan has effectively reduced the number of laborers by two thirds of the available work force. We don’t have time for this kind of foolishness any more! History and the Bible are full of accounts of heroism and leadership afforded by God through women. Yet, because Satan’s attack on women has been so effective through the actions of men, those whose job is to protect and defend those same women and children, the world is short 100 million women today! If abortion is a crime then the maiming, and murder of women and girls, often in the name of morality or some religion, is an abomination. We are lucky to live in the age of God’s grace or we would no longer exist. 

God made Man.  Male and female created He them.  God made Man to have dominion. This dominion was not just for the male man but for the female man as well. Man, male and female together, were to exercise dominion. But we male men have made it difficult if not impossible to be what God created us to be. Is it fear? Is it pride? Whatever it is, it is evil and it is foolish.

It is time for the Church to be One. One in homes, congregations, and in opportunity. God gifts, equips, and calls whom He will. But we men have been standing in God’s way. That is a very dangerous position! I will never forget the time God told me to, “Get your hands off your wife!”

It has taken a long time for me to understand how controlling and intimidating I can be to my wife. God’s plan is better, God’s plan is easier. Certainly God declared that man and woman together was very good! It is time to begin to experience the totality of what God had planned for men and women together. Men it is time to be what God called us to be and allow women and children to be what He has called and appointed them to be. Men, we are not God!
