For those who think that Christianity is a passive endeavor, the events of September 11, 2001 should have
changed your mind. The notion that all the belief systems of the world can peacefully coexist is true only if we do not insist
that Jesus is the only way to reconciliation to God.
The President declared "We are at War." Many Christians will not admit it, but we have been at war from the
beginning. Our war is not against flesh but in the spirit against powers, principalities and every high thought that asserts
itself against the Lordship of Christ. But unless we suffer personal losses, we Americans seem to be oblivious to the struggle
most peoples of the world face daily.
What can we do? We must learn to fight in the Spirit, by the Spirit, with spiritual weapons! God declares
we are His Battleaxe! Listen to this word released ten years ago. The events of the last few months put a new perspective
on this difficult message.
"For I am calling all who will hear to make a new sound, and to sing a new song. The song is the song of
victory and the noise is the noise of a great battle. I am calling all who will, to take up arms. I am sending forth the cry
of battle, and the sound of the Shofar. My people have been moderate too long! It is time to go to war!
The din of battle and the cries of the charging stallions shall cause the eyes of My Army to glow with the
white hot fire of My Spirit, for I am about to do a great thing in My Church and in the earth.
No more will tradition and formality suffice. No more will My Church say we are fat. No more will they be
allowed to be complacent. They will repent or be judged. They will fight or fall away. For I will bring an enemy against My
Church who will not have mercy, nor stay his hand, but will utterly destroy!"
The Battle is no longer on foreign soil but ours. Those who die are no longer faceless or nameless but our
own wives, husbands, sons, and daughters. Let us learn to fight in the spirit, skillfully wielding spiritual weapons with
power, and discipline. God is able and willing but we must answer the call to arms or suffer the losses to come. Remember,
wars are not friendly competitions but struggles to the death between enemies.
Rise up, my people, rise up. For the God of War has issued the battle cry, and those who fail to arm themselves
with my armor, and who seek to mingle with the leaven of Egypt will surely die!
