Worship God

September 11, 2001 faced with tragedy and death, many called on the only relevant being, God! We had regained our sanity! But as the rubble of the World Trade Center Towers still smoldered, we cried to men. Our president is a godly man, but he is just a man. He is the instrument of God’s mercy but God gives the wisdom to protect and deliver us! Pray for the President!

Before Israel had a king, God delivered them through chosen men and women. Then Israel demanded a king. Though tall and handsome, their first king lacked the character to lead in obedience to God. He looked to the people for approval instead of God!

Nevertheless, God said that if the nation would fear the Lord, serve Him, obey His voice, and not rebel against the Lord’s commandment, then both the nation and its leadership would continue following the Lord…but if the people would not obey, but rebelled against God, then the hand of the Lord would be against the whole nation. 1 Samuel 12:14.

September 11, 2001 was devastating, but could have been tremendously worse. God is gracious and the United States is an instrument of his love and mercy! God will be gracious if we allow Him to be but He is a jealous God and He will be hard if we require it.

Our nation has many ideologies, cultures and religions. Man’s wisdom says do not offend anyone with the truth that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life. God says, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land," 2 Chronicles 7:14. Worship God! SELAH!
