Whether
we realize it or not, we live in times of ever increasing peril and danger. Events and times are not slowing but are instead
increasing as we race toward the end of the age. While it is true these are days in which the power and manifestation of God
is greater than it has ever been and it will continue to increase. It is also true that the efforts of the enemy are increasing
in the same way. The difference maker is you and I.
How
so? The earth was created for man. Man, male and female man together, were given dominion over all that earth was supposed
to be. A single choice of the male, contrary to the command of God changed all that. Instead of eternal life in paradise,
we entered into death in all of its facets. God, of course, foreknew, all that would happen but understand that knowing it
would happen and making it happen are two entirely different things.
Make
no mistake. If Adam had not eaten the forbidden fruit, life on planet earth would be totally different. In the same way, God
has a perfect plan and will for us but He also will allow us to make our own choices against His perfect will and plan. I
hear so many people say that God is in control, as if that magic phrase allows us to make bad choices or get lazy and not
find out His perfect will and plan. Yes, God is in control, but that will not prevent us from making bad choices and suffering
the consequences.
God
is and always will be. He has every resource at His disposal and no matter the choices of man, God is in no hurry. Our lives
of flesh, however, are finite. We come and quickly pass. We can ill afford the luxury of apathy, laziness, and disobedience.
Just because God is doing great things does not give us license to kick back and allow evil to prosper.
This
is a time of war! We still have time to train and acquire skills necessary to exercise dominion over the enemy in our time,
in our generation, but we do not have much time. Whether you recognize it or not, our country as a nation that allows the
free exercise of religion and conscience is hanging in the balance. Millions of souls hang in the balance. Unless we have
true revival quickly we will become a nation where no one is safe from sexual predators. Lawlessness will become the rule.
The Church in America will have to go underground, and Christianity will become illegal punishable
by death.
No
one likes war, but we do not have that choice! . If we do not enter into the war wholeheartedly, we will be destroyed and
God has been known to allow it. When we became followers of Christ we became enemies of Satan. So! Jesus has conquered death,
hell and the grave. He has taken Satan captive and all his ministers of evil. What
then is the battle all about?
The
battle is whether you and I will stand and appropriate the victory that Jesus won. Do we know who we are in Christ? Do we
really know who Jesus the Christ is and His power and authority? Does Jesus the Word incarnate dwell in us? Are we full of
His words and the Holy Spirit…. and then the big question is… will we fight? Will we pray and fast
and enter into the victory as sons and daughters of God the Father? Will we intercede for those who, for whatever reason,
are not able?
Will
we resist the devil and live lives that are pleasing and acceptable to God? Do our lives enable us to put the devil and his
ministers to flight or do our lives add to the weight of judgment that already exists in the United States?
Either we fight and perhaps die in the process as members of the Army of God or we try to appease the enemy and die
anyway. If we fight, others will live in the present and in the hereafter. If we do not, many will never know Jesus as Savior
and Lord. You may think this is a bit extreme, but it is not. Since the days of John the Baptist the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence and the
violent take it by force. We have always been at war. The stakes now are for more souls than have existed since the beginning
of time until now.
Here
is a word that has been published before but it bears repeating: Listen to it now. “I am calling all who will hear to
make a new sound, and to sing a new song. The song is the song of victory and the noise is the noise of a great battle. I
am calling all who will, to take up arms. I am sending forth the cry of battle, and the sound of the Shofar. My people have
been moderate too long! It is time to go to war! The din of battle and the cries of the charging stallions shall cause the
eyes of My Army to glow with the white hot fire of My Spirit, for I am about to do a great thing in My Church and in the earth.
No more will tradition and formality suffice. No more will My Church say we are fat. No more will they be allowed to be complacent.
They will repent or be judged. They will fight or fall away. For I will bring
an enemy against My Church who will not have mercy, nor stay his hand, but will utterly destroy!
Rise up My People, rise up. For the God of War has
issued the battle cry, and those who fail to arm themselves with My Armor, and who seek to mingle with the leaven of Egypt
will surely die!” Selah!
Some may think that God would never bring an enemy against the Church.
Over the years, however, God has allowed His people to be set upon by many enemies with deadly consequences. The New Testament says that the Old Testament was written to those of us who live now, upon whom are come
the ends of the earth. Read what God did to a whole nation who refused to go
into the Land of Canaan
and drive the evil nations who lived there out. A whole generation died in the desert for their lack of faith and reluctance
to fight an enemy whom God said was already defeated.
If God be for
us, who then can be against us? No weapon formed against us shall prosper! Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound as already
having been bound in heaven and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed as having already been loosed in heaven. If you
abide in me and my words abide in you, ask what you will of the Father and it shall be accomplished. Again I say that if two
of you shall agree on earth as touching anything, it shall be done by the Father. One shall put a thousand to flight, and
two shall put ten thousand to flight.
These
are just some of the promises God has made to us. How frustrating it must be to Him to see the condition of the world as it
is and know how it could be if only “ if my people, who
are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear
their prayer, and forgive their sin and heal their land. “
Unless you are fighting a good fight, using all the weapons at your
disposal, in the power of the Holy Spirit, do not shake your head and declare it is all hyperbole, metaphor, and simile. The
life, death and resurrection of Jesus and the lives and deaths of the apostles, disciples, and all the martyrs of the ages
were real. We are called to fight the good fight of faith. “And they overcame him (devil) by the Blood of the
Lamb, by the Word of their testimony, and they loved not their life even unto death.”
The war is on and if you are a Christian, you live in
The Danger Zone. Get your minds and hearts right, then take up your cross and your weapons and move out! 1Thes 5:23”And
the very God of Peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God you spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless until the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Amen!
